Nate Bull has been doing church plant work with the Reformed Church of America since 2009. A graduate of Western Theological Seminary, he has been doing street ministry around the world since 1999 and enjoys the challenge of bringing the gospel message to those living in inner city areas. Mark VanAndel has been engaged in community development and church planting in Detroit since 2005. As a graduate of Calvin Theological Seminary and Moody Theological Seminary, he is ordained within the Christian Reformed Church. Mark has a passion for racial righteousness and justice and discipleship ministry in the neighborhoods of Detroit. Mark and Kristen have three sons and an energetic dog. Abbey Waterman is the Hesed Community Church Housing Director.  Although her degree is in Biology, she has a wealth of expertise in housing and community development in addition to her lifelong experience living and serving in Detroit. Christi Wensley has been serving with Hesed Church in a variety of capacities since 2019. She is a gifted teacher who loves to see people engage with the scriptures for life transformation. She coordinates our women’s group and has initiated our healing care groups for spiritual formation and emotional healing.
